2011 BBY CAMP PARTICIPANT SAID:

“BBY camp was the best thing that has ever happened. … Always remember to be the best person that you can be.” “These women and this camp are what remind you to stay true to yourself.  … Try to be more grateful with what you have and forget all the things you want. There is a beauty inside of you, release it. ” I feel I am truly changed because of this camp. I am a daughter of God! I am a Princess!”

This camp will immerse your daughter in experiences that allow her to:

  • Feel and give of her divine gifts
  • Learn that happiness and gratitude are truly byproducts of serving others.
  • Increase her self esteem
  • Know she is a daughter of God
  • Strengthen her testimony of Jesus Christ.

This is accomplished through

  • A Series of classes
  • Workshops
  • Activities
  • Service

Supervision:

A trained staff of caring LDS college-age counselors will supervise all activities through the week.  These counselors are carefully interviewed and selected for their love of life and others and for the excellent way they live their life! Counselor to participant ratio is 1:10. Back ground checks will be done on all staff.

From a Be the Best You Participant

“I now realize the simplest act of kindness can mean so much to a person. Instead of saying, 'What can I get from this,' I say, 'What can I do to help.'”

Contact While at Camp

In the event of an emergency, please call the camp line at 1-800-989-309.  Messages will be given to the participant's counselor.

Mail

Please do not send mail to your camper while at camp. There is not time for mail! The week will be over before you know it and we ask that you make her homecoming special. Watch for the White Ribbon letter we will be sending to you! We ask that you place white ribbons in her room, around your house, yard, trees, cars, or whatever to make her feel welcomed home and wanted! We teach the girls about the yellow ribbon concept, which we have converted to the White Ribbon request. So when you place white ribbons around her home to welcome her home, you will be giving her a powerful message of love and acceptance.

Lost Items

Please call the Barbara Barrington Jones Family Foundation at 1-800-989-3309 for lost items. We are not responsible for lost items. If an item is left behind at camp, we are willing to mail it to you, but you will need to pay for the shipping costs. Or you may stop by our office to pick up any item that was left behind that we have saved for you.

The insurance does not cover illness (such as cold symptoms, stomach aches, etc.) or pre-existing conditions.   Each participant needs to be covered with a medical insurance policy. If they do not have health insurance, a waiver will need to be signed by parents and participants and their parents will be responsible for any costs associated with treatment in event of an emergency.
