Barbara comes to you! Through the financial support of the BBJ Family Foundation, Barbara will come to your area for a weekend and present spiritual and humor rich presentations prepared especially for the youth, women, and adults at no charge.
What to expect . . . Begin with a Friday evening youth fireside for the Young Men and Young Women in your Stake, 12-18. (Parents and leaders are invited to attend). Barbara presents her popular and thought-provoking Power in Purity – Satan’s Three Great Lies D&C 121:45. The youth will learn to avoid the traps of negative peer-pressure, how to more clearly listen to the Spirit’s voice, the importance of a temple marriage and drawing on the power of Christ’s atonement. Saturday starts with an all-day seminar just for women. The Incredible Gifs of Women focuses on reminding each woman of her divine worth and teaches her how to combat feelings of being overwhelmed in life by developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Barbara relates personal experiences and teaches how to regain your sense of humor, and she finishes with her powerful conversion story.
Close the weekend Saturday evening with a moving fireside for all adults, especially husbands and wives. Building Lasting Relationships encompasses the five most important needs of men and the five most important needs of women. Barbara also covers the crucial aspects of communication between men and women. You’ll learn to laugh at yourself and gain a new appreciation for your spouse and loved ones. This is an excellent fireside for non-members.
What does it cost? The BBJ Family Foundation generously covers all of Barbara’s costs. In order to justify the expense, however, the Foundation does ask that your Stake have between 200 to 250 women attend the Saturday seminar.

“POWER IN PURITY” Satan’s Three Great Lies
All talks have been approved through CES Correlation Committee for Education Week and EFY
Satan “desires to have” us and make us “his”. His great lies can tempt us to stray from the right track. His three great lies – “Once won’t hurt”, “Everyone is doing it”, and “No one will ever know” are paths he tries to lure us down. Sister Jones will discuss how to steer clear of Satan’s traps. She will help youth to understand the biggest lie of all is “There’s no way out”. She will show youth that the Savior is always there with His arms outstretched, waiting to guide us back to him. All talks have been approved through CES Correlation Committee for Education Week and EFY
Sister Barbara Jones will offer a very memorable day with practical guidance and spiritual inspiration to the Women of your Stake in a day-long-conference as outlined below. Recent studies show that depression and low self-esteem are found in epidemic proportions in the women of the world. Many women suffer from loneliness, fatigue, stress, abuse and being overwhelmed in their daily lives. Sister Jones will help them overcome these discouraging challenges.
SATURDAY 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
10 – 11:30 The Worth of a Woman In order to become an effective wife, mother and sister, a woman must realize her divine destiny and self worth and also appreciate her unique gifts and talents. The sisters will come to understand Satan’s trap of taking on too much and becoming overwhelmed with life. They will learn of the importance of taking time for themselves spiritually and relying on Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to aid and comfort them in times of adversity and struggle. They will gain the confidence that can come when they learn to accept the Lord’s plan for them and their intrinsic worth as a daughter of God.
11:30 -12 Instant Changes for a Better Appearance We have been repeatedly instructed to stay well-groomed and take care and pride in our appearance. This show of respect to others and to our Creator is
not vanity but is the way our prophets throughout this dispensation have encouraged women to present themselves.
12 – 1 Lunch (potluck, bring-your-own, box lunch, etc.)
1 – 2 She Who Laughs, Lasts . . . One of the most powerful treatments to bring encouragement to others and joy in your own heart is laughter. Elder Eyring says, “Humor is the key to endurance.” The women will receive insight into how to use humor to help in everyday situations.
2 – 3 Whispers from Heaven Barbara Jones will share her life story and conversion covering the power of the atonement, striving for a temple marriage, listening for the promptings of the Holy Ghost and developing a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.
